A revista americana "People" divulgou nesta quarta-feira a aguardada lista dos homens mais sexies do mundo e adivinha quem foi o único brasileiro a integrar o seleto grupo dos artistas mais cobiçados do ano? Ele, Rodrigo Santoro. O ator ficou na 12ª posição, na frente até de Brad Pitt, que ficou na 15ª. Segundo a publicação, Santoro "prova porque o Brasil é notório por ter os homens mais 'quentes' do planeta".O primeiro lugar ficou com o ator George Clooney. A revista chega às bancas americanas na sexta-feira.
O brasileiro, de 31 anos, ganhou os holofotes de Hollywood depois de ser escolhido para participar da terceira temporada da série "Lost", uma das mais populares no mundo, exibida nos Estados Unidos pela rede de TV ABC. Nas telas americanas ele vive o personagem Paulo, que apareceu pouco até agora, mas já chamou a atenção do público feminino.
- Existe esse estereótipo do amante latino. Talvez seja nossa visão do mundo ou nossos valores, mas há alguma coisa sobre a cultura latina que é romântica - disse Santoro à People, comentando sua escolha para integrar a lista.

| Trio to Tango in ‘Dare to Love Me’ |
Rodrigo Santoro, Paz Vega and Shakira will star in Alfonso Arau’s romantic epic “Dare to Love Me,” set in 1930s Paris about the life of Argentinean tango legend Carlos Gardel. Santoro plays the crooner while Vega and Shakira will play his love interests in a romantic triangle. Arau is set to direct the film on location in Romania beginning this spring.
The screenplay by Jeremy Leven, is set in the seedy underworld of 1920s Buenos Aires, Tango legend Carlos Gardel is involved in a torrid love affair with a prostitute and sees his life shattered when a bullet takes her life and pierces his own flesh. Remaining in his lung for the rest of his life, the bullet serves as an eternal reminder of his pain and loss. Finding his way to the exciting Paris of the 1930s, Carlos seduces the crowds with his enchanting voice, bringing Tango music as a liberating force to Europe. Amidst this backdrop of free-spirited decadence and corruption, a mysterious woman enters his life and changes him forever, turning his beautiful sorrow into a musical legend.

| Santoro leaves fame in Brazil to find 'Lost' |

HONOLULU — It has been just three days since Brazilian film superstar Rodrigo Santoro arrived in Hawaii from Rio de Janeiro to begin work as new castaway Paulo on ABC's Lost (9 p.m. ET/PT). The day before, he visited the Lost production office for a wardrobe fitting and met Kiele Sanchez, the woman cast as his love interest, Nikki. He describes her as "sweet," but adds that "her character is going to surprise a lot of people."
What is most surprising about these two cast additions is how little they have appeared on-screen.
Santoro and Sanchez made their debut two weeks ago as never-before-seen crash survivors. They have a bit more to do tonight on a treacherous trek through the jungle that will leave someone dead.
His limited role has proven a challenge for someone whose fame in Brazil is on par with that of Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe.
Santoro was born in the mountain town of Petropolis, about an hour's drive from Rio, to Italian-born engineer Francesco and Brazilian artist Maria Jose.
He moved to Rio to study journalism before getting involved in the city's street-theater scene. Television parts led to starring roles in such features as 2001's Behind the Sun and 2003's Carandiru, in which he played a transsexual named Lady Di. He won Brazil's equivalent of the Oscar for playing a mental patient in 2001's Brainstorm.
