It was in a cold afternoon, in São Paulo, that we were face to face with the most famous Brazilian from Hollywood. Besides telling us that he adores to surf and to play tennis, he also revealed that misses Brazil. Check the interview!
I need to say: I saw Rodrigo at closer. The guy is beautiful, scented and speech of a way calm, very low, that he makes you to render alone attention in him. It seemed there not to be nobody in the room while we talked about the glamour of Hollywood - that doesn’t impress him - and how he misses Brazil.
Where do you live in USA?
Actually, I don’t live there. I live here, in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro. There I only have a suitcase. I live a gypsy life.
And what you take in that suitcase?
My clothes. As I take a work among the other, or I am in the work, or in the hotel.
Do you take something for reminding of Brazil?
Damn it, dude! I have a flag. (laughs)
Serious? What size?
It’s small, but it’s in the suitcase. Sometimes, I leave it at the bathroom…
Did Hollywood impress you?
It has that whole breeze in turn of the stars, the mansions. But I found funny, even comical. It’s a very distant reality.
What more it left frightened you?
In Los Angeles, the houses are very big, those mansions, the amount of cars.
Is money important for you?
No. Only to buy food, to travel and to have the basic things to live. I am not very attached to money.
Something inconvenienced you there?
I found funnier than uncomfortable. Sometimes, I thought: “Damn it, the guy has eight cars!” It is a collector thing, but it is a lifestyle, it’s part of that glamour thing. I had fun with the history. Out that, is a normal city, where we drives a lot. For everything you need car. It’s there close has Santa Mônica, where is the beach. I try to be there because it reminds me Brazil.
