Now it’s official. Rodrigo did an interview to “O Dia” newspaper and confirmed the end of his 4 years relationship with Ellen Jabour.
He said the reason was the distance, since he’s working so much out of Brazil (he’s currently filming “The PostGrad Survival Guide” and Ellen had some works in her country.

Rodrigo Santoro is divided between New York and Rio de Janeiro because his amount of work, and because his family and girlfriend Ellen Jabour – the couple are together for the last three years.

“I feel the necessity of always coming to Brazil, and if I can’t, Ellen goes to visit me “, said the actor, in the party of 65 years of the ice cream Chicabon, in the Museum Dinning Club, this Wednesday, 12, in São Paulo.

With the international career always growing, Santoro will be star “Rebeldt”, from David Mamet, in 2008. “This was one of the works I did in 2007. I have another movie to open, but it still has not a date”.

His last work in the Brazilian television was the miniserie “Hoje é Dia de Maria”, in 2005. “I don’t have nothing concrete for TV, if Rede Globe make somo proposal, I’ll study it”, said the actor.

Professional dedicated, Santoro has preference for characters “distant of his universe”. “I feel attracted by characters with a human side, they always teach me something”, he told. Helpful, Rodrigo paid attention to request of his fans, and posed for photos during two hours.

“I like it, and I learn to deal with it, that along my journay. I believe this is the result of my work”, explains.

It’s with my deepest sympathy and my most sincere condolences that I inform you of the death of Paulo Autran, one of the most respectful brazilian actors of all the time. He’ll always be remembered for the great work that he’s done in stage, cinema and television. Paulo Autran works with Rodrigo in “Hilda Furacão”, playing Priest Nelson. RSF would like to send comfort and peace to everyone who knew him.

As we noticed here a few days ago…Rodrigo Santoro suffered an accident without gravity in Havai. According to “Globo”, Rodrigo was surfing when he fell and cut the foot. The periodical affirms that our boy was medicated, it was nothing serious.
