According to “National Post”, Rodrigo is on the guests list of TIFF2008. The ten-days movie festival runs from Sept 04 to 13. He probably will be promoting “Che” since Benicio Del Toro is on the list, too.

Tonight was the special screening of “Os Desafinados” in Rio de Janeiro. I added some pictures, also pics of São Paulo press conference.

Rodrigo is in Brazil, and he’s checking some events during his . August 12 he was in a cocktail of the cafeteria Nespresso, in São Paulo. August 14 he was seen in Rio de Janeiro with the friends Marcelo Serrado and Eriberto Leão. Yesterday he was checking the friend’s Marcelo Faria play, “Dona Flor and Seus Dois Maridos.” The picture above is from this day:

Maria Rita concert and exhibition of “Os Desafinados” in Central Park open Cine Fest Petrobrás Brasil.

Central Park wins trail and style of Copacabana Beach tomorrow, in the opening of Cine Fest Petrobrás, stage of the internal circuit that happens in the Great Apple. The party will begins in great style, with a show of Maria Rita. Soon afterwards we’ll have the exhibition outdoors of “Os Desafinados”, (”Out of Tune”, the international title) of Walter Lima Jr., that opens in the end of the month in the Brazilian theaters. Until August 16 they will be exhibited more 13 films, among thrown them recently and other still unpublished.

The exhibition of “Os Desafinados” in NY wins importance because the city is character of the film, and it has a fundamental paper for the popularization of the Brazilian music. Director Walter Lima, that was there to exhibit his film in MOMA, speaks a little more on the subject: “We already showed the film in MOMA, in NY, for a vibrant audience and we will show it outdoors, in a big screen in Central Park, preceded by a show in commemoration of 50 years of the Bossa Nova opening the festival. My expectations with the film in the city are the best ones possible, since the filmings. During the presentation we will be present me, Rodrigo Santoro and Ângelo Paes Leme, and the members of the North American team”, tells Walter.

The film director insists in tells the importance of the city in his film: “It has a larger meaning in the expansion of the Brazilian music to the world. It was there that was made the first Bossa Nova international show, in Carnegie Hall’s fabled stage. The city is an icon of greatness and modernity, and it’s for there that goes all the talents that looked for recognition. It have an important paper in our characters’ path.”

Rodrigo will be at Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, that happens between July 13/20, in Italy. We went invited for her work in ‘300′ and ‘Redbelt’. Other invited stars are Gael Garcia Bernal, Jason Lewis, Joely Richardson, Elsa Zylberstein and Rosario Dawson.

A bit late on this, but latest 18th was the brazilian premiere of “Redbelt”. Rodrigo and Alice Braga attended the event and the press. On occasion, Rodrigo told the reporters he’s missing doing TV, but he will pick the best role, doesn’t matters if is a tv, stage or cinema work. Also he said about his role on “I Love You Phillip Morris”, when he was invited thought in Hugh Grant for the role.

Sorry for my late in posting these. There’s a lot of new pictures from the latest days in Cannes Festival. Yesterday was the “Che” screening and Rodrigo was also there, with all the cast. We had, too, a Party for Leonera, a party for Che, and the Chophard Trophy. Added 42 pictures from all this events, with more to come.

Rodrigo started his work promoting his new movies “Che” and “Leonera” in Cannes Festival. Today morning he was with actress Elli Medeiros, director Pablo Trapero and actress Martina Gusman promoting “Leonera”, and I’ve added 58 pictures from the Photocall and 30 pictures from the Screening Red Carpet.
